About
dh Pilates
Providing 121 tuition and classes to improve your
lifestyle
Pilates is not just about rehabilitation: it is also for the regular individual who is seeking a form of exercise that is gentle, whilst improving muscular strength and endurance without putting undue stress on the joints. Similarly, if you are looking for challenge in your Pilates workout that can also be offered!
I focus on posture and how the body moves with the goal of enabling my clients to develop healthy balanced bodies that function to cope with the activities of daily living, without pain or stress. This is facilitated by retraining the body in safer and more efficient patterns of movement which ultimately result in a more balanced and conditioned body.
A body that is stronger and more mobile is less liable to be injured.

The Molesey Clinic
The studio is fully set up with a range of equipment which allows the client to have a much fuller and more rounded experience of what Pilates can offer.
The Pilates reformer provides a workout that focuses on the movement of the body around a stable core using resistance.
The Tower gives versatility and allows the teacher to adapt exercises and develop a bespoke exercise prescription for each individual. The bars and springs attached to the upright frame give me the ability to develop and strengthen your body in a holistic and balanced manner.

How it Works
Step 1: Choose Your Class
Decide which is your preferred class according to your experience of practising Pilates. If you are unsure, email me at debbie@dorehealth.co.uk and I can assist. I teach face to face classes on Tuesdays at The Cobham Curve and Online Classes via Zoom on Thursday mornings. Click on this link to take a look at the class descriptions, and find your perfect class.
Step 2: Pricing & Payment Options
I run a monthly system, rather than a termly. You can sign up for just one month and can cancel at any time. To decide which monthly price package would be the best one for you to join, click on the highlighted link to find out the options available.
Whichever option you choose, you will have free access to ALL of the recorded classes in the Pilates Exercise Library members area so you can take part in as many sessions as you want over the month. Plus if you choose the ‘face to face’ class option and you can’t make it you can always join the Thursday zoom class! Payment can be made via the website. All memberships renew on the 1st of the month. Your monthly fee can be paid every month from your account, by standing order, on the same date, until you email us to terminate your membership.
Step 3: Screening Form

Step 4: Pilates Class Library
The Pilates Class Library is available to all dh Pilates members at anytime via the members area of the website. Once you have signed up an email will be sent to you with log in details for the library.
It allows you to keep up your regular Pilates practice on top of your regular classes. Also, if you miss your weekly class, all of my zoom classes will be recorded, so you’ll never have to miss a class.
New classes will be added every month. Plus there will be extra short bonus classes focusing on specific topics (happy to receive requests!).

Pilates classes
Descriptions
Absolute Beginners Class
This is an entry level class for those who have no experience of Pilates.
Emphasis is placed on conveying the basic principles, breathing, pelvic & rib cage placement, shoulder mobility & stabilisation and finally neck and head placement. Often clients who attend this class have not moved for a while so I also focus on improving mobility and achieving a fuller range of movement around the joints. Of course, core stabilisation is a primary area of attention in order to promote better back health and support for the activities of daily living.
This class is offered on Tuesday mornings at 8.00am at the Cobham Curve.
Beginners /Mixed-Ability
Participants of this class have usually had some knowledge of Pilates and are familiar with the mat work repertoire.
I offer variations on the exercises in order that you can choose the level of challenge that is appropriate for you. Also, I often use small equipment such as flexballs and toning balls to provide variety and keep regular attendees on their toes! Therefore each client experiences a class that is helping to improve their core strength, whilst engaging their interest and attention throughout.
This class is offered on Tuesday mornings at 9.45am at the Cobham Curve and Online via Zoom on Thursdays at 9.45am.
Pilates Strength & Stability
In this class the focus is on building & strengthening the body as a whole from a stable platform of good core stability. Small handweights or toning balls are often used to challenge upper and lower body while building core strength.
The class pace is a little quicker, in order to provide more challenge. You will find this is a total body workout! Bring your ‘A’ game!
This class is offered on Tuesday mornings at 11am at the Cobham Curve.
Seniors Gentle Pilates
It is important to find a class that is appropriate to your level of need. Often if you have musculoskeletal issues or conditions such as osteopenia or osteoporosis a more general Pilates class will not be suitable.
This class is ‘flexion free’, so is great for those who have more specific need and want to try gentle movement with a more careful considered approach.
This class is offered on Tuesdays at 12.10pm at the Cobham Curve.
